UMaine Celebrates a Week of Miracles

University of Maine students are all in for Maine kids. In 2012, UMaine students hosted their first dance marathon, joining a movement among college and university students to raise funds and awareness for their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, and the next generation of college students.

Fighting for the next generation…

UMaine students will host their eighth Black BearTHON on March 2, 2019. It will be 12 hours of dancing – no standing – and every penny raised will give local kids a chance at a healthier future and a chance to follow in their “hero’s” footsteps.

If you’re not familiar with Black BearTHON, students organizations are paired with local children who’ve received care at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center. These young kids inspire UMaine dancers to reach out to their network of family and friends, all with a goal to come together to raise $55,275 by March 2. Can they do it! Yes, and YOU can help! This week, they’re sharing the inspiring stories of kids who inspire them. Follow Black BearTHON on Instagram and like their page on Facebook! You’ll be inspired, moved, and touched by their incredible work.

And for more information, we encourage you to look at their fundraising website!
