Dance Marathon Leaders Know Kids Can’t Wait

As with so much this year, the 2020 Dance Marathon Leadership Conference was taken online. Student leaders from UMKC (Kansas City Dance Marathon) and the University of Kansas (Kansas Miracle) logged on in early July to learn from nonprofit leaders and their Dance Marathon peers about how to evolve their programs to be successful as they face a new school year of uncertainty.

Sessions covered topics including how to operate in a virtual campus environment, and prioritizing diversity and inclusion. Of course, there was time for fun as well. In addition to awards, a virtual showcase featured the best dance moves from Dance Marathon programs across the country!

We know these students are gearing up for an unconventional year, but we are confident that their passion for the kids, paired with their entrepreneurial spirits, will make 2021 a successful year for Dance Marathon in Kansas City!
