Bridges Teen Leadership Board Celebrates over $94,000 Raised for Lurie Children’s
On November 6th, Bridges Teen Leadership Council hosted their 7th annual Dance Marathon at Loyola Academy and celebrated raising over $94,000 for every child at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
Bridges Teen Leadership Board is a junior board comprised of students from 6 high schools in the North Shore (New Trier High School, Loyola Academy, Woodlands Academy, Lake Forest Academy, North Shore Country Day School, and Regina Wilmette). Bridges Teen Leadership Board was founded in 2014 as a way to bridges the North Shore communities together in support of advancing children’s health.
At their annual Dance Marathon, students participated in games, learned their morale dance and heard directly from Miracle Families at Lurie Children’s throughout their event. Over 150 students from the six schools came together in the gym at Loyola to dance, celebrate and fundraise for patients and families.
Since 2014, Bridges Teen Leadership Board has raised over $500,000 for Lurie Children’s. On November 14th, it was announced that Bridges Teen Leadership Board is being recognized for their impact on Lurie Children’s with a dedicated space on the 22nd floor Cardiac Care Unit Reception Desk.
