Miracle Network Dance Marathon Brand Refresh

Children are our future. When we ensure they lead healthy, fulfilling lives, we foster the scientists, inventors, artists and leaders of tomorrow. But the United States is facing a monumental crisis when it comes to protecting the health of future generations. For nearly 40 years, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has raised more than $7 billion for 170 children’s hospitals across the United States and Canada, ensuring that every child who enters a CMN Hospital receives the best possible care. And, we’ve set our sights even higher. Because we know that when we improve medical treatments, equipment and facilities, we can address the most challenging health issues today while preventing and preparing for those to come.  

With this in mind, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals continues to better define our relevancy, differentiation from other children’s charities and how donations address community and societal issues. As a result, CMN Hospitals and its programs like Miracle Network Dance Marathon has refreshed our brand and visual identity. We have more clearly defined our role in children’s healthcare by making the experience of giving as motivating as the impact it has and by strengthening participants’ relationships with our organization, local hospitals, partners and programs.  

The rollout will happen in a phased approach. In the coming months, you will receive more information about each phase of the rollout.  Because we are mindful of your budgets and timelines, in the immediate future, we have just a few small requests of your program to tie more closely with CMN Hospitals on your media channels.  

The brand refresh will happen gradually. We want to be mindful of your budgets and timelines, so throughout the next year, you’ll see it incorporated into marketing materials and at key events and you’ll get more information from us on what this means for your program.

If you are using the Miracle Network Dance Marathon or Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals logos in print, merch, or online media – please begin to use the new logos. As much as possible, utilize the Miracle Network Dance Marathon logo that has the tagline of “a program of CMN Hospitals.” If that is not possible, please utilize the Miracle Network Dance Marathon and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals logos side by side as much as possible.

If you already have merch ordered or can’t update your website just yet, that’s okay! When you design something new and can make these changes, please do. When you are creating merch, we encourage you to utilize the Miracle Network Dance Marathon logo (with the “a program of CMN Hospitals tagline” or the side-by-side CMN Hospitals and Dance Marathon logo somewhere on the item. You do not need to use all 3 in any once piece.

Like most nonprofits, children’s hospitals rely on donations and right now, the United States is facing a monumental crisis when it comes to protecting the health of future generations and children’s hospitals are on the front lines of this dilemma. Together, Dance Marathon programs are leading the charge for improving children’s health by raising critical funds needed by local hospitals. 

Miracle Network Dance Marathon is a program of  Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN Hospitals). CMN Hospitals raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals that support the health of 10 million kids each year across the U.S. and Canada. Donations go to local hospitals to fund critical life-saving treatments and healthcare services, along with innovative research, vital pediatric medical equipment, child life services that put kids’ and families’ minds at ease during difficult hospital stays and financial assistance for families who could not otherwise afford these health services. When we improve the health of all children and allow them the opportunity to reach their full potential, we also improve our communities for years to come. 

Through Miracle Network Dance Marathon, students and campus communities have raised $300M for local children’s hospitals since 1991. As a fundraising program active at more than 400 K-12 schools and colleges and universities, each campus’s Miracle Network Dance Marathon organization works throughout the year to raise funds and awareness to change kids’ health and change the future for their Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.

We are going to provide an updated event scripting template that includes compelling language to help your participants and event attendees understand that children’s hospitals rely on support and to compel them to action to continue fundraising and supporting your program.
