Dance Marathon Programs “Unite for the Kids” at Seattle Children’s

Miracle Network Dance Marathon programs at the Seattle University and the University of Washington joined forces in 2021 to host one, epic “Unite for the Kids” event to benefit kids and families at Seattle Children’s. Participants connected virtually to raise funds, honor patient families, participate in asynchronous activities, and celebrate for over 24 hours!

At the closing ceremony on Saturday night, they also revealed their 2020-2021 combined fundraising total

Dance Marathon at the University of Washington raises money for the Uncompensated Care Fund at Seattle Children’s. The Uncompensated Care Fund fills the gaps left by insurance shortfalls or a family’s inability to pay, enabling families to focus on their child’s health and not the bill in their mailbox.

Seattle U Dance Marathon fundraises for the Uncompensated Care Fund as well as the Pediatric Cancer Immunotherapy Research Fund. Seattle Children’s has the largest, broadest CAR T-cell immunotherapy program for pediatric patients in the nation. This means we treat more types of pediatric cancer using CAR T-cell treatment than any other facility. We have nine active CAR T-cell clinical trials open at Seattle Children’s.

Thank you to the many students who served on the SU and UW Executive Teams for the 2020-2021 academic year. And thank you to all the patient families and donors who made our first virtual event such a great success!
