Congratulations to the Winners of the 2023 Miracle Maker Awards!
Miracle Network Dance Marathon recognized top performing Dance Marathon programs at the Dance Marathon Leadership Conference (DMLC) held in St. Louis, MO from August 3-6.
The Miracle Maker Awards are given annually to the Dance Marathon programs that had the highest combined monetary and percentage increases in their overall fundraising over the previous year. These programs demonstrate that it is possible to continue to build a lasting tradition on campus and grow their fundraising year-after-year for their local member hospital of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Programs are categorized for the awards based on their previous year fundraising level as a Miracle Network Dance Marathon program.
Miracle Maker Award: 0 – 29k
DragonTHON at Drexel University – increased their fundraising by an incredible 340% to raise $28,832! In comparison to their 2022 total of $6,539 this year’s total was over $22k more than last year.
Miracle Maker Award: 30k – 74k
Creighton University Dance Marathon – increased their fundraising by 52% to raise $72,645! In comparison to their 2022 total of $47,782 this year’s total was over $24k more than last year.
Miracle Maker Award: 75k – 149k
State Dance Marathon at Indiana State University – increased their fundraising by 50% to raise $114,033! In comparison to their 2022 total of $75,682 this year’s total was over $38k more than last year.
Miracle Maker Award: 150k – 299k
Ball State University Dance Marathon – increased their fundraising by 39% to raise $386,268! In comparison to their 2022 total of $276,495 this year’s total was over $100k more than last year.
Miracle Maker Award: 300k – 649k
Hope College Dance Marathon – increased their fundraising by 10% to raise a program-record $384,336! In comparison to their 2022 total of $350,428 this year’s total was over $33k more than last year.
Miracle Maker Award: 650k+
HuskyTHON at the University of Connecticut – increased their fundraising by 10% to raise $1,480,256! In comparison to their 2022 total of $1,340,671 this year’s total was over $139k more than last year.
Miracle Network Dance Marathon is an international movement, involving over 400 colleges, universities and K-12 schools across the United States and Canada that fundraise for their local member hospital of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. These students work tirelessly throughout the year to raise funds one dollar at a time by making the ask to family and friends. Their hard work culminates in a celebration on campus or virtually, where participants can rally together as a community for their local member hospital of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Students involved in Dance Marathon gain valuable skills in fundraising, peer management, delegation, and philanthropy. Miracle Network Dance Marathon programs have collectively raised more than $350 million since 1991.
