Celebrating commitment: College DM programs raise more than $1 million in 78.6 hours

Our three college Dance Marathon programs raised $1,046,778 for UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital during their respective 26.2 hours of fall fundraising. The effort surpassed the 2020 total, which also exceeded $1 million.
Students from Dance Marathon at the University of Florida hosted a series of in-person events during Transform Today, including a hospitality night at Chipotle, Bento and B’z Gelati. In total, Dance Marathon at UF raised $589,484 for UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital.
Following a tremendous Transform Today, Dance Marathon at Florida State University made quite the statement. Dance Marathon at FSU contributed $431,910 as a part of the seventh annual Florida Statement. Students gathered for “DM After Dark” to celebrate the end of the first day. The celebration included ax throwing and food trucks.
Florida Atlantic University’s OwlThon hosted Be Bold to cap off the three 26.2-hour fall fundraising campaigns. Be Bold utilized an incentive map – featuring a puzzle piece game and volleyball game. They raised $25,383 for your local CMN Hospital, UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital.
Transform Today, Florida Statement and Be Bold are part of yearlong efforts where students raise funds and awareness to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital. These college programs and their supporting high school programs all contributed to the events’ successes.
