An Open Letter to Our Dance Marathon Seniors

To our Graduating Seniors: We are with you. During the wake of COVID-19, many lives have been changed. We’ve adapted to “new normals”, online classes, virtual DM events, uncertainty about graduation ceremonies, and more than we could have ever imagined just a month ago. We know that your senior year is special- it is a time when you make memories, cherish time with friends, celebrate years of hard work, and begin to make plans for the future. 

We also know that for many of you, Dance Marathon played a big part in your college experience. You may look back on your favorite memories and the moments both big and small that defined these last few years and find Dance Marathon in many of them – learning the morale dance, tabling on campus, the creative fundraising, spending time with your favorite miracle kiddos, or staying up all night with some of your closest friends at your Dance Marathon event.  Who knows, it may have even changed what you want to do with your future. 

While the current situation may have adjusted what you thought your senior spring would look like – the legacy you have left on Dance Marathon is certain. The impact you’ve had over your collegiate years will never be forgotten and the dollars you raised will forever change kids’ health and the future.

Though this year may not have ended the way anyone expected, there is still SO much to celebrate. While a simple thank you will never be enough for your remarkable dedication to this cause and the inspiring Miracle Kids and families we serve by doing this work each and every day, still, we are beyond grateful and we look forward to celebrating you soon. 

You may have thought that being a part of Dance Marathon has changed you, but we know that by being a part of this movement, YOU have changed Dance Marathon.
