DragonTHON at Drexel University, recipient of the 2025 Excellence in National Program Engagement Award
Miracle Network Dance Marathon recognized top-performing Dance Marathon programs at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ Ignite: Peer-to-Peer Leadership Conference held in Kansas City, MO, from July 17-20, 2025.
The Excellence in National Program Engagement Award honors a program that actively connects with the broader network and applies national strategies to strengthen its efforts on campus. Through engagement with initiatives like 1 More in ‘24, intentional onboarding, and participation in Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ Ignite: Peer-to-Peer Leadership Conference, this year’s winner showed what it looks like to stay aligned with national priorities while adapting them to their unique community.

DragonTHON consistently looked to the larger network to inform and inspire their work. They attended and presented at Ignite, offering their own experiences to help other programs grow. They took full advantage of the fall and spring incentives, using those activations to increase participant engagement through targeted outreach, team captain education, and social media efforts.
During the 1 More in ‘24 campaign, DragonTHON encouraged their participants to complete daily actions and stay connected to the campaign’s goals. They also maintained regular communication with their Campus Programs Manager, seeking feedback and applying best practices that helped drive consistent improvement throughout the year.
Congratulations to DragonTHON at Drexel University on earning the 2025 Excellence in National Program Engagement Award.
