Congratulations to VOLthon at the University of Tennessee, recipient of the 2025 Excellence in Donor Engagement Award
Miracle Network Dance Marathon recognized top-performing Dance Marathon programs at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ Ignite: Peer-to-Peer Leadership Conference held in Kansas City, MO, from July 17-20, 2025.
Strong donor engagement is rooted in relationships. The Excellence in Donor Engagement Award recognizes a program that goes above and beyond to build strong, mission-driven relationships with its supporters. This year’s winner focused on building trust and strengthening connections.

VOLthon at the University of Tennessee successfully forged a new partnership with the Interfraternity Council, creating strong ties with campus fraternities. This collaboration led to more than $30,000 in new fundraising revenue and helped expand awareness of their program across the campus community.
Beyond fundraising, VOLthon demonstrated a commitment to stewardship, recognizing donors at every giving level. Following their event, they sent personalized postcards to donors to express thanks and communicate the impact of their contributions. These notes served as a meaningful touchpoint and a reminder of the connection to their local member hospital.
Congratulations to VOLthon at the University of Tennessee for your excellence in donor engagement!
