Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores – Record-Breaking Year as Miracle Network Dance Marathon Partner

Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores boogied their way through the first quarter of 2018 as a proud partner of the Miracle Network Dance Marathon movement. For the third consecutive year, the Love’s partnership continues to help college students who participate in Dance Marathon programs across North America. Support from Love’s allows collegiate fundraising programs to focus less on event and operating costs and more on fundraising For The Kids – all in an effort to have the largest impact possible on local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Students at Seattle University Dance Marathon celebrate their fundraising total thanks in part to their partnership with Love’s.

In the first three months of the year, 13 Dance Marathon programs sponsored by Love’s occurred on campuses across the United States. These programs engaged more than 10,000 participants and raised over  $5.2 million to provide care for sick and injured kids. These results represent 10% growth year over year.

Last year, Dance Marathon programs supported by Love’s raised more than $5.3 million. This year, only half of the Love’s sponsored programs have hosted their fundraising events and yet the partnership is only $100,000 away from smashing last year’s fundraising total.

Miracle Network Dance Marathon students who participate in Dance Marathon programs sponsored by Love’s are not only aware of the partnership but report that the Love’s partnership with Dance Marathon has positively impacted their view of the company.

“I often think of big businesses like Love’s as disconnected from the communities they operate within. When I attended VUDM this year, I met representatives from Love’s and their families. They were just as excited to be a part of the event as the students were. It was so refreshing and exciting to see that people from a big business really care about their community,”- A student at Vanderbilt University.

The University of Georgia thanks local Love’s team members on stage in front of 1,800 participants at UGA Miracle earlier this year.

The Dance Marathon movement is more than just dancing and thanks to Love’s, we get to do even more for kids in our local communities who need it most.
